CRLA Leadership Opportunities

Looking for a way to further your involvement and professional development with CRLA? Be part of the future of CRLA and your profession! Your CRLA is looking for members who have been active in the organization and who are interested in stepping into leadership positions.

The following positions are open at this time and the Board of Directors is accepting applications. The period of service would start immediately upon the Board of Directors approval of a candidate for a respective position.

To apply for a position, submit a letter of application addressing your willingness and ability to meet the requirements of the position, a vita or brief listing of qualifications, and a letter of institutional support. If institutional support is not required, please state such in the letter of application.

Working with CRLA's state, region, and chapter leaders is a great way to learn about CRLA activities across the country, network with colleagues, and further participate in the CRLA organization! The S/R/C Coordinator works collaboratively with the Professional Development Director to train, support, and engage current leaders at the state, regional, and chapter levels.

Becoming involved with the Annual Conference is a great way to learn more about the expertise of researchers and practitioners in our fields, network with colleagues, and further engage with the CRLA organization! The Conference Sessions Evaluator works collaboratively with the Conference Chair (President-Elect) to distribute evaluation forms and to ensure that there are session chairs for all of the concurrent sessions and institutes at the Annual Conference.

Managing the Journal of College Reading and Learning (JCRL) is a great way to learn more about research in our fields, network with colleagues, and further engage with the CRLA organization! The JCRL Editors work collaboratively with the Publications Director to promote, support, and publish current research and articles by researchers and practictioners in fields of reading, learning assistance, developmental education, tutoring, and mentoring.

Working with the Publications Committee and on the Journal of College Reading and Learning is a great way to learn more about publications in our field, network with colleagues, and further engage with the CRLA organization! The Publications Director works collaboratively with the Publications Committee and JCRL editors to promote, support, and publish current research in fields of reading, learning assistance, developmental education, tutoring, and mentoring.
